Soldering Madness !

Bonsoir people, after ruining two soldering irons in the last 6 months I bought a new one today and I am trying in vain to solder these glass charms but my god, it is so hard to get a nice fairly neat line of solder but I am trying far too hard and I keep overworking pieces when the other side goes wrong and it ends up ruining the whole piece, it is actually driving me mad and so are the fumes, I'm quite surprised that I haven't set my hair on fire yet or lost an eyebrow as I get so involved that my head gets loser and closer to the iron but here is an example of todays effort...


Oh and this is my lovely new soldering iron that hasn't had any bits fall off it yet !

Actually I am a bit ashamed to show them... no really I don't think I can... ok here they are then.. don't laugh too hard ..........

Altered Art is the best

My God, since discovering that the type of art I like making is actually an art form an that it has been around for ages and so many people do it makes me feel excited and if not, a little bit dense, it's only since I got back on the computer and started going online again after one computer was stolen and then the new one broke for a while, that I have come across so many amazing sites, pages blogs and just things to inspire me that I have started properly making new art and so many different types that I am going to update more with on here and Flickr and in the next couple of weeks I hope to get my Etsy shop up and running with a whole new lot of stock, ideas and art that have been living in my head and will finally be free !




This was made with copied vintage paper, a book page and collage pieces from various books..

Overspill of Craft from Flickr !

Bonjour ! I have used up my monthly allowance of picture on Flickr so I have updated my blog and put my extra pictures here for now which means I can kill two birds with one stone as I have needed to update here since new year ! I have bee so inspired over the last couple of months and I have too many ideas and not enough time, but I have made a plan and taken two days off for a long weekend to sort it all so I can free some space up in my head. And my poor cat Reggie who has been scratching at his ear for a couple of weeks let me look at it last night and he has it blocked with thick wax so I'm taking him to the vet in a while to get it well 'fixed' I feel so bad I didn't know he must be so uncomfortable. Anyway here are some photos of my mini journals, scrapbooks and the boxes they are in the first decorated with Amy Butlers wonderful paper designs and embellished with ribbons..
