I feel quite bad that I haven't been in my studio since Christmas ! I know... I have been working the whole time just at home with the stuff I brought home to work on before Christmas because I knew it would be one if not two weeks at home but still.... the weather and sleeping in has been a bad influence o my motivation to go every week...well that stops now ! Next week I am going to start going back in 3 days a week and I will be doing a craft stall every week hopefully too.. I can't go into February in the same situation. Ok had to get that out there, right well if you are a fan of my Facebook page you will see that I have very much been working and here are some freshly painted new little houses, glittery ones and there are so many more styles on the way, not just colours or shapes but styles that I can't wait to get started :)

Oh and these little ones have been sitting on the shelf in my studio and I need to get them in my shop asap !!

I have got lots of new art materials and I bought a large set of half pan watercolours and some permanent markers to do some different doodle styles in, only done a couple of pages so far but its fun and I'm sure they will get better (well I hope so)

A Colourful New Year

I have been working on this mixed media piece for a week and it is almost done.

I love colour (you may have noticed) and patterns and embellishments, I am working on a lot of colourful projects and designs for my new shop stock this year so don't forget about the 50% sale I have now on the current stock because when it's gone it's gone !
I am also working on some shabby chic and 'lost trinket' style projects too which will be fun as you will see when they are ready for posting.
2011 was a good year although it did have it's bad bits, the biggest was my gorgeous Reggie suddenly passing away, I still miss him everyday and wish he was here for me to cuddle :(
Also I want to thank everyone who read my blog, bought my items, liked my facebook pages and who has said such lovely things about my work and wished me well on this venture to leave work and start my own business, it will have it's up and downs but you can't put a price on happiness :)
I have so much more to tell you and I am working on projects right this second so I'll probably blog tomorrow too..oh and I have just joined instagram so I still have to put pics up on that.

Hey peeps... I was going through my uploaded pics and I came across some stuff from past Christmases that I thought I would like to post again. I also have something of a freebie for you all this month which will hopefully turn into a monthly thing if the first one goes well, the first will be free but I will let you know when it is all finished which should be this week.. :) I have also got back into my painting this week and last week, I haven't painted an actual canvas painting for ages as a piece of art anyway that isn't somehow based on my characters etc, here are some bases I have painted on my canvases ready for more layers..can't tell a lie though at least a couple will be character based, can't help it I love weirdness..

I am organising all my new ideas and projects for next year ready to start from the 1st Jan straight off the blocks..

It is also going to be the first Christmas without my best friend Reggie :( (his brother ronnie died a few years ago too) who died this may out of the blue, I talk about him still so it's easier to deal with but I miss him everyday I uploaded a pic and a video which was weirdly the same day last year, the 5th Dec !!! how strange was it that I chose that or that it was filmed on the same date.. i put it of Facebook but I will put it here too.. Love you Ronnie and Reggie always xxx ( pic of reggie as I don't have a digital one of ronnie :( ..)

Hey hey, two posts in two days ??? yes I am feeling fine just have lots to show you :)
I opened my new Etsy shop as I said a couple of weeks ago and listed some items about a week ago and it's going well so far, Little Miss BFF is where I sell friendship bracelet sets, some are limited editions with charms that you can attach to bracelets or anywhere you like, and you can buy lots of sets and mix and match them..I always use my skills with colour to make some beautiful eye catching groups. I have so much more to make and different styles too to add so go over and have a look..

I am also doing more on the spiritual side of things and am in the process of designing and making jewellery and trinkets along these lines, I am also using my Burmese roots to make some kawaii style fun and colourful chunky jewellery with a Burmese influence of patterns and designs or just lettering !

Here are some other bits, a miniature handmade and bound book in a leather cover with decoration and a practice of my new embroidery designs which I intend to make into PDF's and sell.

Wedding Dolls

Back in may I was commissioned to make a set of wedding dolls for a bride and her mother, and although they both knew about the bridesmaids dolls, each had asked me to make a set of dolls for the other in secret !! not easy when emailing or talking to both of them, had to concentrate on what I said ! :) Anyway it all went well and I have just taken the pics I took of them off my phone and thought I would share them with you. It was my first proper go at dolls and as a commission and one set was of the Bride and Groom in their hiking gear, which I had to design and make also, another set was of the bridesmaids who would carry their mini me's instead of flowers and this also served as a gift for them and the other was a doll each of the mother's !! so here are my pics of this fun adventure.

Wow I have been away from here for a while, been really busy but I will try to update more often (I know I always say that ! :)
Well the weather is changing dramatically now and it is so cold some days, makes it hard to get out of a comfy warm bed especially when it's still dark outside, I think my body clock is a little messed up as it feels as though the daytime is only a couple of hours long and the nights last for ages, so I always feel like I have no time to make anything even though I do of course the early evenings are not nice, then again if it was snowing it would be nicer but I don't really want that yet as I wouldn't be able to get to work or the studio... And speaking of the studio (which is in Greenwich were the Olympics will be next year, hmm that's going to be special, I wonder what the travelling will be like !) I have some more pics to share with you...

I am still learning how to crochet bits and pieces, it's coming along nicely, I much prefer it to knitting because it is quicker, you can get decorative patterns easier and more effective. I'm working on this little display of 2x2 inch granny squares in coloured cottons rather than wool.

It is unfinished at the moment, I think I may add some flowers and trimming... It is just pinned together and I haven't trimmed the cotton off yet either

And it was my Dad's 60th birthday in October so we all went out for a meal and of course Little Dave and the boys came along for the fun ! :)

I have also opened a new shop on Etsy called Little Miss BFF and here I am selling sets of woven friendship bracelets in different colours, styles and with charms etc

And here is the logo I created... well that's all I have for now as I'm in the middle of adding more bracelets to the shop so go along and check them out :)

Good morning :) Just a quick post to let you know about the new workshops for children I will be doing at 'Glazed All Over' which is a local pottery and craft shop in Wallington in November. It's a great shop with regular workshops, if you are interested I will be teaching how to make some jewellry, models, keyrings and other artworks that will be all completed to take home, it's going to be lots of fun so to book in advance go to their website now !!! :)

Hello my fruity little friends, I hope you have had a wonderful week :) anyway..I am going to update you with a few new things that I have been creating and that are on sale here !
I am going to make more hair accessories but I have finished a few glittery ones as you can see but more in my bright style will be available soon and I will post pics here when done hopefully next week, there are also more kitsch and kawaii stuff as you can see from my wicked and unique costume jewellery, a Horse head pendant necklace and Butterfly triple pendant necklace and the cute Pyjama Bubby earrings which I am listing today !!

Hey hey.. Thought I would share my little doodle embroidery with you that I started yesterday and finished this morning, I have lots of others now that I am going to work on, not sure what I will do with them but it's fun and a little different !

I have been working on lots and lots of different things over the last few weeks and one part of which is one of my new jewellery styles for 2011 which is embellished fabric art. It will be in necklaces, bracelets, cuffs, bangles, earrings, rings and brooches..here is a sneak peek at the necklaces and they should be in my shops this weekend..

Little Dave has been on a little trip to the studio with me and has a new mate Tommy the tiny toad...awww cute go to his website and follow all his adventures :)

I am working on doing lots more submissions in the next couple of months and am going to start writing a couple of books and get a little part time job... all this should keep me out of trouble ! :)

Hey hey, well after long procrastination about doing this I have finally decided that I will post the pics of my new studio in London on the Thames :)

This is the most basic type of studio but hopefully next year I'll get one with a window ! :D

I must say I prefer to have a studio outside of the house where I go to to specifically create stuff, I like the journey actually getting out and being around other arty peeps, haven't had that since Art College..

Oh and just a reminder I have just posted again on Little Dave's blog with new pics of his friends so please go over there and follow him or he might cry :)

I am doing this for real now, quit my job a couple of months ago and it's scary but fear is a great motivation, my only real difficulty is getting the advertising to be able to sell more items so I have spent the week sorting this out trying to see what works best but if I can get as many of you lovely readers and followers to spread the word too that would be unbelievable and such a help to me.. whether its to my shop or my blog or facebook thanks in advance and if you are on Facebook then I have a page and group for little miss crafty, I am designing a proper brand logo at the moment but the current picture for each are of the bright orangey pink little girl...

This is Reggie, you may have seen him on my page before. He died suddenly today apparently he was very sick, I don't know how I'm able to type this because I want to die too right now, I don't know what I'm going to do without him, he knew when I was sad or sick and would sit with me, he didn't take it to heart when I got ratty with him for getting under my feet he was there through every useless bloke that has been in my life and through everything for the last 12 years, I always thought we'd end up in Nice together one day when I was able to move there...he's gone and a big part of me has died with him. Hey guys, well if you have been following my facebook page you will know I have been really excited to finish my new little project so that I could take some pics and put them up here for you. I am going to put them in my new Etsy shop which will be for the more kitsch stuff that I am doing, lots of colour still and a big Oriental/Asian theme..

Yes the Royal Wedding is today, everyone is excited and I'm so surprised over the immense international interest and support from literally everywhere in the world from what they said on the news. They even had a message from the Astronauts on the International Space Station.. wow !

I'm just a little sad that Kate is going to be titled as Duchess instead of Princess :(

Anyway I will be watching on tv for the next 6 hours or something ha ha

Little Bubby Darlings !

Well they are finally finished, my new product line of 'Little Bubby darlings' which are knitted fellows that will keep you company wherever you go... They come in the form of brooches, necklaces and rings !! and will also be available soon as a bracelet... Please ignore my hand in one picture, it was really dry so it looks old but I have since moisturised and it has gone back to it's youthfulness !!!

I am in the process as we speak of adding them to my Etsy shop please hang in there with me because there are lots and I am also adding the finished hand painted bangles !!

I have a problem...with ideas....not that I don't have any or it's hard but... I have too many ! I am constantly thinking of new things to make and create, new designs etc etc and yes it is a good thing to have lots of ideas but it is also soooo annoying because I am unable to get them all out so I am constantly working on about 10 different things at once and as soon as one thing, for example the Bubby Darlings, I thought of it, created them and now they are done.. I already have an idea for some baby accessories as I recently became an Auntie and am spending more time around kiddie stuff which previously I didn't, so now when I see baby stuff I automatically think I could do something like that or better than that etc etc so I am in the process of designing and making cool baby shoes/booties with matching headbands, room accessories/decorations and as i sit here I literally have just thought about maybe designing some little summer dresses and hair accessories and maybe some cool little hand designed t-shirts....Hmmm have I said too much ? ok I'll shush, get it done and post pics when they are ready !

Just to let you know I will also have a proper website with links to all my stuff and I am also finishing adult headbands, jewellery, bags and fabric based wristbands and necklaces all in my signature bright colours :D

So here are some pics and I will be posting a giveaway on Friday so stay tuned...which leads nicely to the fact that I will be starting my own project tutorials which can be purchased via my new website and Etsy shop, there will be written instructions and videos where I talk you through and show you the whole project ;) and I will probably ramble on about my day too but that's included for free !

Time for a deep breath ...

I thought I would tell you what I have planned for the next year at least (this may explain my lack in posts recently as I have been busy doing this)... this week I am leaving my current job at the bank for a career break ! (deep breath) I have decided that I need to really go for it and as having a full time job is hindering my ability to make lots of items and actively keep up with sales, promoting myself and making a proper business out of 'Little Miss Crafty'.
So I feel the time is now, have a really good bash at it and see what happens, I have had lots of interest in my new ranges of stuff which I will post here in the next couple of days and due to the fact that I work in a big Jewellery area I have had lots of customers trying to give me advice and help which has been really nice.

Well it is very scary and very exciting at the same time... I just hope I can promote and sell enough stuff to make it work so I don't have to go back to the bank !!

Here are some wooden bangles I have made with my new designs, colourful and bright with some embellishments they are statement pieces so stand out all on their own and they always attract compliments.

Making gifts magazine ! I have two projects in this February issue, I am really loving online magazines like this so I can download or print off what I want and I don't have to find space on my floor to stack it ! ha ha that comes from spending ages trying to tidy up and realising I have half a rain forest in my room ! The projects are for a heart bracelet and vintage decorated hangers perfect for Valentine's day coming up !

Hope you all had a fabulous new year... I am in a very positive place right now, I decided to have a change of how I view things even though last year was really good in terms of getting my work 'out there' etc.. generally I felt I needed other things to change and quicker, so after a lot of umming and ahhhing (if that's how they are spelt ??) as I am generally a.. well not pessimist as such but I always stay on the side of caution shall we say and try not to be over enthusiastic in case it doesn't work out but as I said I thought I should have a change and read 'The Secret'.....and you know what, I am still reading it but it really did put me in a better mood, more positive, believing and enthusiastic about what I want and that I will actually get it and soon, and like it suggests in the book I felt more positive and good things started to happen, could it have been coincidence ? maybe, maybe not but I do believe that

everything happens for a reason and so I am going to continue with this philosophy and I have just bought today her new book 'The Power' so that when I finish 'The Secret' I will read that and maybe I will have everything I want at the end of the year ...

can't wait to find out and look back but even more so I can't wait to experience all the good things that ARE going to happen.....

Now to the first exciting thing this year... My first magazine article in Making Jewllery magazine it is in their readers gallery showing a few pics of my stuff and contact details, I already have an article for a different magazine next month and it is my plan to have an article every month in a magazine if I can ! lots of work but it will be worth it :)

Christmas is coming.......

Only one week to go and it is looking promising for snow on Christmas day here in England, I can't remember the last time I think I was very small. We already have some carol singers at the house as you can see from the picture above :)
Well I am updating my online shops tonight with new stock as well as making some and adding this post. My first online tutorial will be on sale soon for something really lovely and I have so many others in my head and notebook ready to go too. I think I am going to do online tutorials next year and try to sort out a teaching class, just need to find a nice place to rent or use for it close to home...

Here are a few little models I have been making and I will be adding them to the Etsy shop tonight and I also have some new jewellery and accessories including hair clips and headbands in a shabby chic style that will be going on too this week.

I also am finishing a project for 'Making Jewellery' magazine that will go to print next year and I should be in it twice :) wooo hooo

And just so you get an idea of the sizes of these models, the rectangular ones are ATC size (or a playing card) and the round ones are approx 1.5 inches or 4 cm so cute :)

Oh yeah and don't forget that I also have another blog called 'Juliet's Craftzine' which has free tutorials for various things on it including a fabric bauble at the moment and I will be adding a couple more this week.

Little Miss Crafty's Grotto !!

I feel like one of Santa's Elves that is in a workshop all year long making loads and loads of stuff ! I have been making so much and it feels like the days just disappear, a whole weekend gone in the blink of an eye ! I think we need at least another 5 hours in a day or at least a weekend.
Well here are the fruits of my labour so far, I am doing more little models and I have also started making a new range of dolls (yes this is all in conjunction with the thousands of other projects that I have going at the moment and have blogged about in the last few months !)

I love Graffiti and Manga style art so I have spent a weekend designing a doll with lots of re-drawn templates and patterns and little sketch dolls in different shapes and sizes lying around till I got the shape I wanted, I did the eyes in a manga style to add a little character to them and I have so much more stuff designed on this basis that will have to be blogged about another day when I have pictures of it too.

As you can see I still have a few half naked little dolls which will have a more colourful makeover so look out for that !
And i have added a couple of pics of my desk with its work in progresses !

Oh my gosh I have been meaning to write a post for ages but I wanted to finish these projects I was working on at the time so I had something to show you :)
But firstly now it is out in print I can tell you that my Glitter edge decorations are in the Christmas issue of Cloth Paper Scissors can you believe that ?? they asked me to do an article based on my decorations so I did those and a banner in the same style, I hope you all like it, I was and still am so excited, I am also having one of my house bead bracelets featured in an article of 'The Doll House' magazine in a gift buying guide section, not sure how big the picture is but once it is published I will take a pic and add it here, same with the Cloth Paper Scissors article :)

Well that's my exciting news anyway so here to the projects I have been making, I love making my little houses and have made some new little house crafts/trinkets/ornaments

.. not sure what to call them ! and I have also developed a little obsession for Robots ! they are so cool and I have got some stamps, wrapping paper and other little robot based items recently to help with my inspiration, the ATC designs are still in my head but I have made some little models like my houses this weekend...

I have two more house bead bracelets here and there are more to come, all of this stuff i have posted today is going in my Etsy shop.

And here are some items that I have had fun with, a bird nest complete with birds, bird cages that will go on sale too, some Halloween based stuff and a dolls house that I have designed and made myself, I will be doing an online project for similar based designs which will go on sale here and on Etsy soon and I will also be doing a Christmas based project as an online purchase and a simpler project on my Juliet's Craftzine site ..when I have figured all this out I will post it asap...hopefully within the next 3 weeks it should be completed..

Well I still have to dry my hair, do my nails and go to bed as it's 10.30pm now and I also have to get my uniform for work ironed and my bag sorted so night night for now :)

Ok I know it's been ages, sorry, but I have tried to post every weekend but something else always gets my attention ! anyway I was really excited yesterday as I checked out my contribution of 'cake slice boxes' to a magazine online, the cover had a shot of my project ! you should have seen my face, I was grinning like a mad fool ! go check it out now, it is an online gift making magazine where the first 3 issues are free and I am in the first and second so far... so go check it out at www.makinggiftsmagazine.com but wait till you have finished looking at my blog..then go ;)

Also here are a few pics of what I have been busy making, new lines of jewellery and fabric based crafts...I am also working on those online classes which I hop to have ready for next month but i will give details of the projects and class price soon.

I have started doing jewellery parties again, did a mini one on the weekend and it went well and sold some of my more quirky stuff like you see here which always raises my spirits that there are some people out there who want something different and striking. I made the comic strip style bracelet last week and wore it to work today and had lots and lots of great comments which has inspired me to do a whole range of comic style jewellery and crafts and also thoughts on a class too...

So here they are, hope you like them too, can't wait to show you more stuff this week as I make it...you know me I either post once a month or a hundred times in a week !!!

Hey guys I thought I would just show you what I have been doing this weekend and I have just posted them on Etsy. I have made this selection of charm bracelets, I have shown just a few here but there are more on Etsy...a Parisian style 'viva la france' bracelet, 'Royal baby blue' charm bracelet and the top one is the first that I made on thursday night to wear to work on friday and I had such a response to this little thing that I decided to make more... I am going to add necklaces and earrings hopefully tomorrow if I can get them finished and I have loads of Tim Holtz stuff that I am going to use to make some really vintage looking ones !

I am working hard on a project for a magazine Christmas issue but I did take a break from it to make a few cards , tags and atc's...the cards are now on Etsy and I will be making a few more if they sell but always as a one off, I don't really like mass produced things..... I am missing my little marine Tommy while he is away at the moment but am keeping myself busy with lots of work and while I am waiting for the World cup final to come on I thought I would add a little post :)

I am trying to keep my blog and etsy shop and flickr pages updated more regularly now after being awol a lot last year and a little bit at the beginning of this year, but I am trying...also I hope to be having a skype (video phonecall) with Misschell aka Chinamommy on tuesday, if she doesn't blow me out ;) ha ha
I have also bought the second edition of the wii fit game as I intend to get very fit and toned by christmas...I can do it !!!!

A big reason for making lots of cards and scrapbook stuff is to use up the craft stuff that i have accumulated and that is closing in on me like that scene in superman wen he gets crushed in that crusher ! well that's me but craft stuff !!!!!

Oh and I have listed my 5x7 inch artworks on Etsy too so go take a look !! Don't forget I have jewellery on there, my little house ornaments, hair accessories and charms !!!!!

I made an ATC tin today and a couple of ATC's with some new papers I have bought, thought I'd show you, I also bought a copy of Romeo and Juliet so I could use my name loads !!! :)

I cannot tell you how much stuff I have for my crafting...I hardly ever buy new clothes unless it's T-shirts and joggers so that I can get paint on them etc and not mind.... It is almost out of control and I cant really tidy up anymore because there is nowhere else for it all to go and i hardly have used any of it but it is comforting to know it's there if I want it..seriously tonnes of stamps and I hardly ever use stamping but they are so wicked that I keep telling myself that I will use them for this and that.... stacks of papers, some I either double up on if they are really nice or I try not to use to much of the nice ones in case I use it up and can't get any more..maybe I need a craftaholic's group to go to and confess my sins of buying too much stuff !!! in fact I may set up a blog for it ! I am going to show you pics of stuff that I have bought in the last few weeks, papers, glitters (still sealed and unopened but gorgeous and if I hadn't bought them I would still be thinking of them now !) stamps...unused, etc, there is so much more and an absolute tonne of Tim Holtz stuff that I really will use in some future shabby chic, vintage 'how to make' projects that will be available on Etsy.... I have ribbons and embellishments, chipboards and the list goes on.... I would take a picture of my room if I wasn't so ashamed of the untidyness of it..stuff is everywhere..anyway here's the pics of what I have bought recently....

I couldn't resist putting a picture of my lovely Reggie who loves to sleep on my shoes and he is so tired because it is so hot and he is so fluffy and his fur is so fine and thick ! :( I'm going to get him a little fan !

This is a quick post to show all you lovely people what I have been making today on yet another beautiful sunny and hot day off in little old England... I also cleaned my bike last week but I thought I would show you a little pic of it !
A house necklace that will be listed on Etsy later, a tag and ATC and the rest I will show you tomorrow,also I have decided to sell my beads in small packs and as one off sales every now and again instead of a regular stock because they are time consuming it just isn't practical but they will be assorted and in themes too...I will post them on here as well as listing them on Etsy and the first batch will go up this weekend so keep checking :)

I heard that saying on a documentary and I love it, just goes to show how long people have dreams for before anything comes of them, and that is how I feel at the moment, I have been making and selling things for just over 10 years and it is only this year that I have had success with magazines contacting me to provide projects etc and it is slowly building as I have another one to do for around christmas time and hopefully more will follow...

I can't believe it has been weeks and weeks since my last post ! but I have been so busy making stuff and you know I don't like posting anything without pictures... so here are a few of the things I have been working on and will be on Etsy soon, I have lots of days booked off over the next few weeks so I will be working on my business like crazy and posting more regularly than I have been....

So I have been making loads of new beads, jewellery, artworks, altered art and I have put together a journal project which I am going to sell passwords to special blog where it shows you how to make certain projects and you get materials sent to you to use in the project...these will be for sale on Etsy once I sort out the pictures, video and instructions... I will post it here when I am done, I am also putting together projects for kids too with goody bags..

I have made a special 'Alice in wonderland' bracelet and a necklace of old skool sweets ! so fun to do !! and will be on sale soon as I get them up...

This weekend i have been getting high on paint and varnish fumes but it has been worth it as I have started making more of my new 'Little house' jewellery. Here is a custom made necklace complete with houses, shops and hearts, I have more beads and am still putting them together as we speak which will go up on Etsy asap, tonight if I can and there are some really wicked bead designs, not just houses and shops so pop over to my shop to find out !

So here is the second magazine that I have been featured in....oooh it looks sooo good ! The articles are of a little clay heart pot and my Jacob's ladder, I am already working on projects for the next issue, it's a great new magazine that I suggest you start buying, if you click on the picture of it on the right hand side of this blog it will take you to it's website and other publications they produce...
I was so excited this morning when I saw it, it loos really professional, can't wait to see my stuff in the next one, I get mine from Hobbycraft...

ok, about 10 minutes ago I was sitting here watching Transformers..brilliant and doing little bits and piece at my desk, working on projects and ideas when I heard a thud at the front door, great probably more bills I thought ! but no, it was my free issue of 'Cloth Paper Scissors' with my little article in it ! woooooo hooooooo so here are the pictures I just took of it and it has my name ! my name !!!!!!
I love this magazine :D

Also here are the pictures of my go at soldering, yes I know I broke the glass, probably when I dropped it after dropping a piece of solder on my leg which burnt through my joggers ! and has left a small red 'freckle' on my thigh !
See not too bad a lot smoother and neater...i am going to have a go again this weekend.

Hello guys, do you remember 'ages' ago I said I was really excited but didn't want to say anything just in case I jinxed it...well now that I have made it sound far more exciting than you will probably think.....I AM PUBLISHED !

Yes, I said 'published' baby ! after all these years two magazines came across my blog at about the same time and asked me to be in there magazines... the fabulous 'Cloth, Paper, Scissors' are doing a small article in their 'muse' section about the little houses I have started to make and are on Etsy and it is the issue that is out soon if not already.

The other magazine is called 'Making gifts' a new English publication which so far is wicked (for my American friends... wicked = brilliant) I have made a couple of projects for them, which are in the issue coming out in may I think and they also want me to contribute further projects which are already on the go and hopefully a small article where they 'meet me', my own little interview oooooh.

This year has gone so well so far, just hope it continues I have so much I want to do this year that I have numerous books to write everything in and so if I slack a little on here i don't mean to and I hope you forgive me :) I will add another giveaway soon.

Ok here are some pictures of stationery that I have made, journals and ATC's, I have more things to show you but I need to photograph them first, my soldering is getting a little better..do you remember my first post about it ? ( I think it was one of my first posts and I think I used a whole reel of solder on one small glass slide ! ridiculous and it was so lumpy...I need a new iron but it wasn't too bad, I'll show you later..

One more thing, I am going to set up my 'Craft Tv' blog this weekend as it is a Bank holiday on Monday too woo hoo, this means that I am going to design a project, video and photograph ho to make it with templates, instructions etc then I will put together a pretty goodie bag of things to use in the project and provide a password for it all at a small cost which will be advertised here on my blog and on Etsy, there will be a limit to the number of spots for each project... by the end of the year I hope to set up a couple of groups too, online and in person to teach crafts too or just to get together and craft things !

And finally.... this is a horrible photo but I have gone over to the dark side and I must admit I don't agree with 'blondes have more fun' anymore ;) nudge nudge wink wink !

Yes I am here, no I didn't die or get some computer related phobia and I wasn't kidnapped by a gang of hardened kittens with bandanas, baggy jeans and small flick knives with a disregard for the law and a poor upbringing.... I was just a bit lazy and a bit busy too, but I will have some exciting news which I do not want to jinx yet but I will post it when it is published...(ha small clue there !)

Anyway I have been busy also updating my Etsy and making lots of new bits and pieces as you will see and remember the ATC size small paintings I did, well i have decided to put these on Etsy as originals and will be making more today of various sizes, I have also extended the range of items related to the small houses and some fancy ones with extra embellishments.

I also took the house theme a little further and made some from fabric which I hope to add to Etsy today too... Wow this work is building up.. I was going to let you know about a project that I am doing too but I think I will wait till later or maybe tomorrow when I have pics to show too.. it is going to be a how to make blog that I will be selling the instructions of how to make the item and provide supplies for it so pop back to find out more....

Yep I am officially 32 today !!! and it's still all good, had lots of birthday wishes on Facebook and my Marine sent me some lovely pink roses and a little teddy as well as a card of course, so sweet, can't wait to see him tomorrow...going to meet him at the airport :)

Anyway enough mush... here are some small artworks I have been painting today, they are on board which I have cut down into ATC size pieces... I will be selling these on Etsy too as well as a few more house based pieces of jewellery which I will add tomorrow morning as I need to charge my camera battery again !
I have eaten lots of chocolate andsweets today, I know it's my birthday and I used that very excuse to eat them but now sitting here typing I am looking at my slightly bulging tummy and am wondering was it worth it ? no of course it wasn't so from tomorrow I am back on the wii playing and cereal diet ! basically where I don't eat anything hmmm good idea ? well we will see in 2 weeks ! I'll let you know...

It is my birthday tomorrow and I will be a fabulous 32, maybe I am a bit weird but I quite like being in my 30's mainly because I don't really give a crap about anything so much now and am totally focused on what I want in life... if you know what I mean !

Anyway I have had this week off and as my last proper day off from work (as I don't work weekends anyway) I am going to post a few more things that are now in my Etsy shop, I have been on a roll and a few other exciting things have happened which I don't want to mention yet in case I jinx them !

It has been a totally brilliant week and although I will post again tomorrow, of course I have to say HI on my birthday and keep you all on your toes with my flurry of new posts this week, see this Chinamommy ?....does this make up for my slacking ??? Ok well this is a few pics, may add more later today if I can recharge the camera battery asap, They are Chinese lantern keyrings and tasty cupcake keyrings, I also have some more jewellery, hearts, houses and new frames to post about..my hunky Marine comes home to good old Blighty (that's England) on sunday, can't wait :D so my giveaway for march will be inspired by this weekend ! I have been working my arse off trying to get some stuff done in time for Valentine's day on Etsy, but I have been side tracked once again but not completely, I started making beads for a charm bracelet then read a copy of 'cloth, paper, scissors' and was inspired by the article of making chunky houses from styrofoam, but I made some of my houses a little smaller and turned them into beads and made a bracelet and with all my designs of hearts, houses and my signature birds I am going to sell them on Etsy as jewellery maybe but probably in bead sets to buy and do what you want with... here are some pics of various bits I have done this week including a few light papier mache small houses with quotes on that I will be selling also....

It's a new year so one resolution is not to procrastinate and so far (touch wood...no not like that ! ...dirty ) I have managed to keep on top of things (wow this post isn't going well) and manage the projects i set myself and have made lots of notes and plans ready for a really positive re-vamp of my Etsy shop and an overhaul of all my other sites..and yes more regular blog posts......and more exciting more giveaways !! yeeeeeeay ! I hear you shout...I hope to post at least once a week if possible and do monthly giveaways !!! (I am aware I have said this before but I am more organised now)
Ok on to new stuff...here are some pics of bits I have done over the last two weeks or so, some of my new 'fancy atc's', tags and jewellery !

Well it's finally 2010....a new start, new ideas, new designs and new plans have already started filling my head !!! I have done so much planning and made lots of notes and spent all day on the computer apart from the hour I spent going to the shops to grab a diary before they shut as I needed one asap, yes and I haven't written in it yet, I get obsessed with needing something, can't wait till tomorrow, I need it now...just so it is here if I need it, crazy ! Anyway I just wanted a sort of work based one, a scrappy cheap one to roughly write down plans in, not my 'best' or 'proper' diary, you know what I mean, anyway I ended up buying another one because I loved the cover and then made myself believe that if I didn't buy it right now, today then they would be sold out tomorrow (despite there being about 6 on the shelf, the shop was closing in 15 mins and there was no one else here, it wasn't on sale either...but still if I don't buy it, it won't be here tomorrow...where are my pills ?)
It is gorgeous, the cover is dark brown embossed leather or leather look...yeah leather look (just smelt the cover) and I am going to add shabby charms and trinkets and paper to the inside and it will be my lovely pretty diary that I write beautifully in my best hand writing ever in every day...ha yeah right ! :D
I have also been watching p.s I love you, mainly because lots of my friends keep telling me how good it was, so I bought it one day, I say one day because I got it a couple of months ago and just left it in the wrapper because the story was sad and although I am not really a cryer, I do at sad films especially about love and stuff, you know thinking about my own life and lack of that sort of thing and the past blah blah blah...well I got a bit sad and thought sod it, just watch it..can't be that bad...well it was I started crying about 5 mins in because I thought I would love to have a guy like that (the bit where they are fighting) etc and cried through the whole film...the whole film even the funny bits made me cry, now my face feels twice the size and my eyes are like piss holes in the snow....red ones...well one is red but it was red before the film, I poked it earlier..don't ask..anyway good film but I eventually got round to what I was meant to do which was take snaps of my journals that I am starting this year and have lovingly decorated for your visual pleasure, sorry went really round the houses on that one, I do that, good film though, need a good cry ? watch it........my face hurts !

Oh my Gosh, I can't believe how quickly Christmas has come around, or how quickly the year has gone by for that matter...so much has happened this year, not really in the right areas of my life that I want but hopefully that will change next year, well I mean it WILL change next year, 2010 is all mine baby !!!!!!
I have haven't done any Christmas stuff this year..I have been so busy recently that it has sort of crept up on me, but I have made a couple of cards and a small chunky scrapbook that I intend to fill with stuff from this year..
Also here are some more small books but this time in their own little houses...to be available on Etsy soon along with lots more stuff for the new year, in a week or so once I have finished some samples I will be writing a long post with pictures of new stuff for 2010 and I'll be revamping all my sites and next week (maybe even tomorrow if I can get it done) I will be posting a last giveaway for the end of the year and I have decided that with my new found organising for 'Little Miss Crafty' designs I hope to post a giveaway each month from January so please pop back......

I have made a card and mini scrapbook with papers and cut outs from 'My minds Eye' ..I have made a cute little pop out card for my parents with a ribbon tie and a scrapbook using a zutter which is such a cool little tool to have, you can make any type of books you want !

Despite being a little poorly this past week I have found the energy to make some cute little hand stitched mini journals.....and a few more trinket boxes which will be on Etsy too..

I have become a little obsessed with 'The Hills' too, I have series 1-5 and I am not sure why, I am fascinated by it and my favourite is Audrina because I feel like I make the same silly decisions with my own versions of 'Justins' and seem to be quite unlucky in the guy department, not for the want of trying mind you...relationships just don't seem to be my 'thing' although being treated like crap does seem to be a special gift of mine ! Oh well, even though I am a realist there is a little bit of me that still hopes I will meet my Prince one day...maybe.......

This may be why my latest creations of trinket boxes and journals etc have little quotes and words about love and Princesses etc on them...
I am also going back to my illustration roots and will be designing some little drawings and prints which hopefully you will all like....2010 is going to be my year with so many things I want to achieve rather than just plan to do !

Hello bloggers :) here is some late stuff and current stuff...I have decided to go back to my shabby chic stuff for a while, so lots of ornate patterns, pastels, florals etc etc
Yes I have been missing for a while but this is due partly to the fact that time keeps running away without me or I am blacking out for days at a time and am not aware of it !!! seriously it should still be july by my reckoning but it's already almost christmas ! what the bloody hell is going on ??? I have just finished some Halloween stuff..no joke....and it seems I should already have started christmas cards or something...I will maybe tonight...I must book some more time off work to catch up.

I bought some lovely new stamps and ribbons, flowers and papers recently here is a few on my desk..

And so here is quite a few pics of the shadow boxes that I have been creating along with some shabby chic trinket boxes that will be available on Etsy when I upload them soon, I have also got into making some dolls houses from scratch, lots of scalpel and mount board work !

I also intend on making furniture too for the houses. Each will have different themes and will also been on sale on Etsy.

I would also like to say how jealous i am of all the fantastic craft events like silver bella etc that you have in the States..we don't have anything that cool here in the UK and no the NEC stitch and craft show etc does not count...I am talking cool stuff...I am going to try and start my own small versions of a craft weekend event type thing here...if you are from the UK please comment or email me if you would be interested in anything like that, be nice to get some feedback :)

Oh my God, it has been a struggle but I have finally put new stock up on Etsy even though my internet connection was playing up and what should have taken 2 hours actually took about 6 hours ! aarrrrggghhh anyway it is up and I am in the process of photographing lots more including my own handmade and designed embellishments and I am going to add some greetings cards which I was into making years ago but gave up a little bit because the time put in was not worth the money I charged, but I have managed this a little better now and maybe they will sell, who knows ? I am also going to add small shadow boxes and pre-made scrapbook pages which just require photographs..... The embellishments I am going to add are in my colourful style but also a lot will be more shabby chic in colour and style too so please go to my site now and keep going back to check for new stock, I will always post when I have added new stock, thanks :)

My other business venture is hopefully going to start in the next couple of weeks and once I have taken pictures and made some plans I will post that here too (oooooh so excited !)

I haven't been to Salsa for ages too, I am missing out and it makes me sad...maybe I should watch Crimewatch to remind me :D I would actually love to go to the rollerdisco again which was 80's heaven !

Firstly here are some pictures of more things I am working on...I love buttons, especially handmade ones and I am so into making items from fabric and sewing materials at the moment...but that is not the stuff I am excited about and I can't really say much at the moment until we sort a few things out but a work colleague and I are going to start a type of party company together, it isn't what you may think but I don't want to jinx it just yet but I will be starting a blog for it once we are up and organised which will hopefully be in the next few weeks, I am still doing all my own art stuff but this is a little different and very exciting !!! wooo hooo I will post the link when it is done :)

Why is it that when you have so much to do, you get distracted easily or just take far too long to do things that you would normally get done in half the time, it is a bank holiday weekend and I only feel like I have had a normal one and I can't believe that the time is already 5.07 pm and I haven't done a fraction of the things I wanted to do ...aaarrgggghhhhhh but I am going to at least write this post, add a project to my Craftzine as I promised and make a few more things for my Etsy makeover !

This is the stuff I have been working on for ages, Heart brooches, house themed artwork and fabric beaded jewellery and lots lots more..I thought that having a full time job and using my limited spare time to work on my business would be a lot easier especially when you read the 'success' stories of people who lost their job or had a baby, made some stuff and now they do it for a living....how does this happen ? please don't tell me I need to get the sack or knocked up to have a successful business ! Maybe I give myself too many things to do but if I don't then I wouldn't do anything and would just think about the things I need to do..I can be quite a procrastinator when I want to be.....

Hey guys...keeping my promise for at least one blog post per week although I may add another this weekend...I have spent the last few weeks doing my business plan and making lots and lots of notes etc so that I can makeover my Etsy shop with loads of new stuff. The things in the picture above are some of the new things I will be putting in my shop and there are lots still to come that I will be working on today and hopefully post on Flickr..
I am making lots of bright and colourful things but I am going to make some more pastel coloured and shabby chic stuff soon.
What has been keeping me going recently is reading the 'give up your day job' articles on Etsy where they interview people who have started selling their art on Etsy and now make a living from it and enough to actually turn it into a business...I am determined that this will be me some time next year !

Also I watched 'Amelie' the other week and 'oh my god'...I love that film...it is absolutely brilliant and I had a huge smile on my face for ages after watching it ... and it gave me an idea which I think I have already mentioned about in a previous post but will actually get started on this weekend, so that will probably be my other post.
And I am going to update my Craftzine with two projects this weekend as it has been ages since I did and I really can't believe it has been that long :D

Right, I have to go to the library in a minute to get some books on Peonies as I have a commission for a couple of large paintings to do soon....

Firstly I want to apologise for not updating my blog as often as I would like or should...I PROMISE yes promise to update my blog with a post however big or small at least once a week from now on....also next week I am going to have another giveaway so please check back for that...
I also promise to put a new project up on my craftzine blog every fortnight and I have so many I want to do but I just lose time, seriously I am starting work on something saturday morning and it's 8am, 5 minutes later when I look up it's 1pm ! am I in some sort of time warp ?

Right so here are some journal pages that I have made since my last post and i have a lot lot lot more to show but it's not totally finished and on sale yet so I am going to hold off, also I am not saying that my stuff is good enough to copy or anything but everytime I post something new, weeks later I see versions of it pop up on etsy and flickr etc...this may be a coincidence and probably is but I find it so annoying so i wont post them till they are on sale :)

The Salsa class...

Okay, last week I did my first Salsa class which was held in a Salsa bar in London and obviously I had a vodka, lime and lemonade to steady the nerves then I had another one just to make sure...and we went and paid our £5 and got put into groups, now this was okay as there were a lot of absolute beginners although I did wonder if they did a completely and utterly absolute total first time beginners class but no, they didn't. The classes were split between the sections of the 'dance floor' which was not very big and as it was a bar there were people just standing around watching you all trying to dance which is not only disconcerting and embarrassing but also a bloody cheek as they did not pay any money and were getting a class for free !

I got the hang of the very basic moves although the woman teaching or shouting at us kept moving on to more involved steps quite quickly and there was no music..I found that so odd..and all the guys lined up in two rows and the girls found a partner to dance with first and then the girls would move along on to each guy to do a few steps with, I suppose in a bit of a speed dating way and there were some interesting guys there, haven't seen a line up like that since crime watch !
There was one guy who we nicknamed snake hips and I honestly couldn't tell whether he was in the groove or had some sort of physical twitch problem and it made me a little afraid of him... I was okay at doing the steps on my own but when I had to do a simple turn it all fell apart.. I could do the move on my own but as soon as we practised with a partner that was it, I couldn't turn left, I kept turning the wrong way with all the guys but really they are supposed to be in charge on the dance floor so I blame them for letting me go the wrong way..I have the same problem as Derek Zoolander..I am not an ambi-turner, I can't turn left...
All in all though I did have a really good time and it was such a laugh in the end after my third vodka unlike the week before when we just went to check out the bar as I chickened out and we got drunk on Sambuca and vodka whilst eating nachos instead....we are going again in a week or so and will go up a group apparently although I am not sure I am ready for the beginners group just yet...we are planning to go for just a night out though and actually dance to music ! wish me luck...

Okay this is what I have been working on. I have been getting in late from work which has made me tired and I have not been able to get my finger out and update my blog or shop etc..
so I am back and I am going to make myself an organiser and do lots of little bits everyday.. so here are the paintings and fabric brooches I have been working on and these will be put into the shop asap, may do different sizes for the prints and I will also be posting a new project on the 'Juliet's craftzine' blog' today ...

I have put together a small collection of photographs which illustrate what I am dreaming of at the moment like these ones of Meribel in France where I learnt to snowboard, I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it as I had never done anything like that before but I absolutely loved it and would love to go again, the best bit was early in the mornings when I took the cable car and ski lifts up the mountain and the sun hit the untouched snow beneath me as I moved across it and it sparkled as if it was made of diamond dust, it was beautiful...

Pictures of Nice and Monaco of course as you all know I adore them and it is in my 5 year plan to live there...

Hello guys, I am sorry that I haven't kept up with my blog but I have been a little distracted and I have been trying to finish my artwork so that I actually have something to put on here..also the Formula 1 season has well and truly kicked off so I will be doing some paintings of that too soon ( haven't done any for ages !) need to get back to my sports painting roots..

Ok, here are some pics of what I have been up to so far... and here are some pictures I found on the net (which I do not have any copyright over or anything) they shoe exactly the type of place i want to live in, in Nice, I am making a mood board today reflecting all my goals and where I want to be in the next 1-2 years ! I know you are all probably bored with me going on about it all the time but I will get there and be able to take pictures of my own and post them from my laptop while I am in my infinity edge pool or from my boat in Monaco :) I wish !

There are also the usual therapy pics of me and also a poem that a friend wrote that I thought was so lovely ( even though sometimes I have a little trouble with the deep ones- roses are red etc is more my level :) but see what you think !

I have been toying with the idea of spending a week in New york before Christmas but it has just struck me that I could go for a week over New Years and be there for all the fun, so can someone honestly tell me what it is like at New years in New York help me decide, great or anti climax ??????

On the inspiration of a friend I have decided to make two lists, one of things that make me go 'Hmmm' and one of things that make me go 'mmmm'......

Things that make me go Hmmmm!

1. The dreaded going to work.
2. Getting artists block or too many ideas to put into action.
3. Knocking over a new bottle of dark brown distress ink all over the beige rug, carpet and my leg.
4. Spilling tea all over my new art books.
5. Falling asleep at my desk after a marathon over night craft session and having paper stuck to my face.
6. My cat coughing up a fur ball five minutes before I go out on my first date in 2 years.
7. Realising I have glued the wrong side of the collage paper.
8. Sewing my new fabric journal to my leg.
9. Blue eyed American guys hanging up on me !
