Altered dolls and an early christmas !

I bought the recent issue of 'cloth, paper and scissors' by Somerset studios and inside was an article by Lisa Kaus who I absolutely adore, and she was making altered art dolls from blocks of wood and collaging so I decided to have a go even though I really need to find some sort of second hand shop or junk shop which sells dolls heads etc as I made my own from sculpy as I did the legs and arms too which didn't come out too bad but could have been better but this was just a first go so the next ones should be better.




Christmas has also come early, I bought a great little christmas paper pad and was inspired to make some new Atc's and inchies..

There are so many different things you can do with Inchies which I am going to put more detail into on the Inchie by Inchie page later but I thought I would just add a couple of pics !

Wax on, Wax off !

This last weekend I have been working with collaging and using wax as a final layer which gives a really nice texture and blurry look over your work, it is fairly forgiving so you can scratch it off in places and add more to others, it is also buff-able ! and using an ink pad on top for highlights looks really good, so here are a few little bits I have made with this technique and some not, these will be available on Etsy once I have updated my Etsy shop later today hopefully as I am off work all week, yeayyyyyyyyyyy !
